I recently pulled out my resume and realized that I needed significant help updating my resume and social media presence. I called Brette and am so glad that I did. I truly appreciated the approach that she took to create the perfect package for me.
I reached out to Brette after several years of underemployment. I had finally reached the point where I was ready to take charge of my career and had no idea where to start. Working with Brette, I landed my dream job, going from a 9-5 retail position with very limited growth potential to an associate-level job in a growing company in the industry of my choice.
I recently moved from Houston to Orlando and wanted to get into a completely different field. Brette helped me market myself to the right employers, and when I got interviews, she helped me before to prep thoroughly beforehand. Before working with Brette, I was applying to basically any job I saw, but with her help I was able to target my search (and my resume) to the right fit. I now work for the Corporate YMCA in Central Florida which, so far, has been the best job I have ever had!
Just wanted to say thank you again for meeting with me for coffee on Friday. I'm starting this week more motivated and inspired to start perusing a direction. That article you sent was really encouraging too!

You can find about a million articles online about how to “optimize your social profiles” for your job search. I’m guilty of it too. While it’s certainly valid content, it’s not necessarily groundbreaking. Even worse, it is definitely not going to DIFFERENTIATE you from everyone else who has read the same tips and advice. In […]

Most job seekers take the “shotgun” approach to their applications – submitting their resumes to any job posting that is remotely relevant to their experience and interests. Sound familiar? Unfortunately, this often results in great candidates being hired for jobs that initially excite them, but ultimately disappoint. Avoid the 6 month let-down by beginning your […]

Earlier this week I was sitting in a Starbucks waiting to meet with a client when I overheard a conversation nearby between two middle-aged women. As I listened more closely (eavesdropped) it became apparent that this was a job interview! You can imagine my excitement. Due to the nature of my work, I usually hear […]
